UAE University

  The United Arab University was established by virtue of the Federal Law 4 of the year 1976. The University started in the fall of the 1977 and now consists of 9 colleges; Humanities and social Sciences, Science , Education, Business and Economics Sharia and Law, Food Systems, Engineering , Medicine and Health Sciences and Information Technology. Currently there are about 16547 students enrolled in the University . The UAE University also offers graduate programs at the Master levels in Environmental Sciences , Materials Science and Engineering, Water Resources Science and Business administration in addition to a professional diploma in teaching .

During the last few years , the University has witnessed a comprehensive development in the academic programs and curricula. This development has been achieved in light of modern concepts and international standards after adapting them to suit the nature of society.

Zayed University :

Zayed University was established in 1998 as a fully governmental institution, with the formal authority of the University to award degrees and certificates upon ratification by the University Council. The University current enrollment of approximately 2500 consists entirely of female UAE national students. It has campuses in both Abu Dhabi and Dubai , offering identical programs on both campuses. The University offers full four year baccalaureate degrees through six colleges Art and Science , Business Sciences, Communication and Media Sciences, Education Family Sciences, and information Systems One Master's program- the Executive Master of Business Administration is offered through the outreach program of the College of Business Sciences .

These outreach programs are located mostly within the Dubai Internet City

•  The Centre for Media Training and Research (CMTR)

•  Smart Squire

•  The Centre for professional Development of UAE Educator (CPD )

•  The Institute for Social Research (ISR)

Colleges and Higher Institutes :

  In addition to the University, many higher centres , colleges and educational institutes were established in Dubai , such as the police College, the Aviation College , the College of Medicine , Sharia Science College and Higher Colleges of Technology which qualify national staff for various scientific and professional specializations , as well as giving opportunities of higher education for those expatriates residing in the UAE
